Learn how NFC technology powers your NFCHub keychain and which devices support it.
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a short-range wireless technology that allows two devices to exchange information by being close together — typically just a tap or wave.
Your NFCHub keychain contains a tiny NFC chip programmed with a secure link. When someone taps it with their NFC-enabled smartphone, your profile instantly opens in their web browser.
You don’t need NFC on your own phone to use your keychain — it’s the recipient’s phone that reads the chip.
If your phone doesn’t support NFC, you can still access and share your profile from your Dashboard → View My Card option.
Compatible Devices
Almost all modern smartphones support NFC by default, including:
iPhones: iPhone 7 and later (iOS 13+)
Android phones: Most models since 2015 (Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.)
No Apps Required
Your keychain works instantly with mobile browsers — no need to download anything.
Pro Tip:
To ensure the best experience, encourage recipients to hold the top of their phone near the NFC chip on your keychain for a few seconds.
